Motherless Child - Eric Clapton - From The Cradle (CD, Album)

This is the Eric Clapton solo album I had been wanting him to make for years: a studio album of blues covers accompanied by some fantastic supporting musicians. It came out in and I bought it initially on CD but I am so pleased it has been re-released on gram vinyl (and a double to boot!) and needless to say it now sounds better than ever/5().

From the Cradle is a Grammy winning blues cover album by Eric Clapton released in Per the liner notes, "This is a live recording with no overdubs or edits except for dobro overdub on 'How Long Blues' and drum overdub on 'Motherless Child'." Although long associated with the blues, From the Cradle was Clapton's first attempt at an all-blues album.
